About the Congress

The International Congress A ERA BIM, promoted annually by Sinaenco – the National Association of Architectural and of Consulting Engineering Companies – is one of Latin America's most significant events dedicated to digital transformation in AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations). The event focuses on disseminating Building Information Modelling (BIM) and features a high-level, multidisciplinary program, covering theoretical, practical, and artistic aspects of new technologies applied to the sector. Activities include lectures, debates, workshops, courses, an industry solutions fair, and the presentation of technical-scientific papers selected through a public call.

The Congress contributes to the implementation of the Brazilian government BIM BR Strategy and addresses the growing demand for BIM use in projects and construction. It attracts professionals from the private and public sector, researchers and students. Since 2018, the event has brought together over 4,000 participants and 400 speakers, including 40 international specialists from five continents, solidifying its position as a space for updates, knowledge exchange, and fostering innovation within the AECO sector.

MAIN THEME 2025 EDITION

BIM and Climate Change: Prevention, Management, and Resilience

The central theme of the 8th International Congress A ERA BIM – "BIM and Climate Change: Prevention, Management, and Resilience" – directly aligns with COP30 taking place in Brazil and reinforces the construction industry's responsibility regarding the impacts of its activities. This theme highlights the strategic role of digital tools, such as BIM, for more efficient management of enterprise lifecycles. In this context, the Congress invites AECO sector researchers and professionals to reflect on how digitalization can transform practices and processes, enabling more sustainable solutions and contributing to addressing climate change.
